Volunteer with WPA

Volunteer with us and make an impact!

Founded in 1845, the Women’s Prison Association (WPA) is the nation’s first organization dedicated to supporting systems-impacted women and gender-diverse individuals before, during, and after incarceration. We provide the help they need to live safe, free, and independent lives within their communities. Join our on-the-ground efforts in New York City and make a difference.

Volunteer Opportunities

Get involved by volunteering at WPA’s community-based events or by leading classes for justice-impacted individuals. We love collaborating with professionals and organizations who can support our clients with their expertise and lead skill-based programming, such as writing workshops, cooking classes, family activities, and women’s empowerment events. To find out how you can directly support our clients and get involved in our volunteer initiatives, reach out below.

Join the Associate Board

The Associate Board (AB) at WPA transforms our community with their vision and expertise. The AB volunteers their time to support WPA through event planning, networking, and outreach to drive engagement and build connections. Click here to meet the Associate Board.
