Marla Willner

Marla Willner is the Commercial Bank Chief Operating Officer at TD Bank, where she serves as a key member of the Commercial Bank’s Leadership Team. In this critical role, she oversees Commercial Operations with a strategic focus on performance, efficiency, and risk mitigation.  

In addition, Marla is responsible for several enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, including the Commercial Bank Customer Delivery Transformation and the End-to-End Commercial Transformation, with an emphasis on Control and Process Delivery.  

She also serves as the Executive Lead for the Women at TD program. Previously, she led the Bank’s IBOR Transition and its strategy for Negative Interest Rates. 

Prior to her current role, Marla was Head of Commercial Credit Management, where she led an organization of more than 900+ employees, managing strategy and operational processes for TD Bank’s $140 billion-plus portfolio of Real Estate, Commercial, Wealth Management, Specialty, and Small Business Clients. She has particular oversight of Credit Risk Management frameworks, including Loan Portfolio Performance, Credit Policy, Remediation Strategy, and Underwriting Standards. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors for the Women’s Prison Association, Citymeals on Wheels, the TD Bank N.A. Political Action Committee, and the TD Charitable Foundation.  

Marla is a graduate of Wesleyan University and holds a master’s degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She is a proud recipient of American Banker’s Most Powerful Women to Watch for 2019, 2020, and 2021. In 2022, she was recognized as a Crain’s New York Notable Diverse Leader in Banking and Finance.
